While cruising around looking for more abandoned places, we came across a resort in the middle of the desert. WTF were they thinking? Perhaps they thought, "This is a great place for a fancy resort because nothing else is surrounding it but the barren desert." You can imagine the smart ass comments coming from the three occupants of Sharon's car. To add to our amazement of why was it there, it looks like they wanted to build a subdivision to surround the golf course/resort. It looks like the economy put the kibosh on that idea. All that was left was a few scattered homes in an empty subdivision. We took the paved road to the end and walked across the wash were we spotted a lone building. Vinnie looked up the area we were in on his phone and noticed that the structure we were looking at used to be a recreation center. The center was abandoned and became our third stop on the trip.
