This award comes with no special hoops or deeds. If you wish to proudly display the symbol on your blog, you may. We simply wanted to let you know that we like what we see on your blog!

My list of fab blogs that I want to acknowledge this time.  Sharon and I will be bestowing this award on other great blogs in the future.

I just want to take this moment to thank Jessica from Ghost Stories and Haunted Places blog (http://ghoststoriesandhauntedplaces.blogspot.com/) for bestowing upon me "The Paranormal Leadership Award".  I am glad that she likes my blog and all that I am doing to make it unique and fun.  Please check out her blog as well, she has fascinating stories as well as wonderful photos to accompany them.

Even though I follow several blogs, there a some that I would like to acknowledge with this award for having interesting, different, and fun blogs that make my day.

I have to start with my little Sis and travel buddy Autumnforest at Ghost Hunting Theories (http://autumnforestghosthunter.blogspot.com/); Courtney of Haunt Jaunts blog (http://hauntjaunts.net/blog/); Tara of The Digital Looking Glass blog (http://thedigitallookingglass.blogspot.com/); Max Evel Underworld blog (http://maxevel.blogspot.com/); Barry from Gnostalgia blog http://gnostalgia.wordpress.com/); and John from Season of Shadows blog (http://seasonofshadows.com/blog/).  There are many more with new blogs coming my way all the time.

Hug-A-Blogger Award

awards

This award is to be bestowed upon a blogger whom you are so appreciative of, you would like to meet and hug this person in real life. Perhaps their blog makes you smile, gives you great advice, or they are supportive, warm and welcoming hosts/hostesses to their visitors.
The recipient of this award is to:

Tell of their most memorable hug ever.

Explain who they want to give the award to and why they want to hug that person.

I want to tell you about my most memorable hug. My Dad is someone who I looked up to and admired. He was the strong one, the protector of the family. After he went through two years of heart surgery, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer disease. We started noticing him not paying attention to the things we said to him, and looking like he was spaced out. He slowly became a shell of the man he once was and it was hard to watch. My Mother was helping him do most of the everyday things we take for granted. If you hugged him, he didn’t respond with a hug. After several months, his doctor recommended a new medication for the disease. They decided to give it a try. Immediately he showed improvement. He was back to doing the everyday things he used to do and didn’t need his cane to walk with. The best thing was that first hug afterwards which was strong and so full of love. I had my Dad back. Sadly, it was only for a few months, but I will always treasure that special moment we shared.

To narrow it down to one blogger I want to meet and hug was tough. I want to hug all my followers. I decided on two blogs that I enjoy reading. My first blog is Dr. Heckle, http://www.drheckle.net/. He posts the craziest pictures and has everyone make a comment. Sometimes the comments are funnier than the pictures and I am always guaranteed a laugh when I check out his posts. I haven’t seen another blog acquire over 500 followers in such a short time.

The next blog is one I found thanks to Brian of Photographing the Dead . The blog is The Digial Looking Glass and created by Tara. Tara take us to incredible cemeteries and photographs the amazing headstones, carvings, statues, and other exciting areas of the old places in her neck of the woods. She even gives us enjoyable stories about the history of these places while her camera captures the marvels. Take a look at her blog and become a follower too.

Passing the Blogger Award Onward

awards
My Haunt Jaunts friend, Courtney, named Above the Norm as one of her favorite blogs and honored it with a Beautiful Blog Award. As part of the honor, I have to name 15 of my top favorite new blogs that I enjoy reading. That is so tough because there are so many that I love reading, so I recognize all those blogs on my blog roll as “beautiful blogs”. But I have to list the newer blogs I have found as my 15, so here they are:

1. Mikey @ The Movies: 2010 Edition

2. Bob Boze Bell’s Big Bad Book of Bad Diary Entries

3. Season of Shadows

4. Adeles SpOOky Art

5. Cryptozoo-oscity

6. Foxfire Paranormal Research Center

7. Ghost Theory

8. The Blogsquatcher

9. Ghost Stories and Haunted Places

10. Elohssanatahw

11. Ghost Stories

12. The Osborn Family Est 2008

13. Gummerfan’s Monster Hunter HQ

14. Encounters with the Unexplained

15. Grimoire of the Hour

Here are the BEAUTIFUL BLOGGER AWARD RULES:

1. Thank the person who gave you this award.

2. Share 7 things about yourself.

3. Pass the award along to 15 bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic!

4. Contact the bloggers you’ve picked and let them know about the award. (Sorry if I forgot to let you know, things are crazy around here. My granddaughter has been sick.)

Now 7 things about myself:

1. I am a lefty through and through. My kindergarten teacher tried to get me to switch hands and use my right, but my Mother stopped her. Way to go Ma!

2. I have a bad case of claustrophobia. When I was just five years old, my little brother threw his metal car at me and it hit my head right above me right eye. I had to get stitches and they needed to put a cloth over my face. Well, it took seven men to hold me down because I freaked out that much. They just should have sedated me, lol.

3. When I was a senior in high school, I was a Wrestlerette. We used to keep score and cheer for the wrestlers during their match. I did keep score with a few wresters that year *wink, wink*.

4. Also on the last day of my senior year, an idiot set off a tear gas bomb in the vents at the high school sending many of the students and teachers to the hospital. I did escape with only minor irritated red eyes.

5. I have only snow skied twice in my life and couldn’t get off the bunny slope. There was that one time I was able to hit the beginners slope, but that was after a couple shots of Tequila.

6. I was married at the age of 22 and the wedding was a half an hour late because of the minister got the wrong start time. Also, the best man got my Dad so drunk that my Mom and brother had to take him home and put him to bed. At least he had a good time, what he remembers of it.

7. My oldest brother is now living as a transgender female since the age of 46. She is now 59 and living in Georgia with her transgender female girlfriend.

I want to thank you Courtney for supporting my blog.
