Far be it from us to second-guess the Gonzo trade with San Diego. We were carping for it for over two years. For the record, we are thrilled that he'll be a mainstay in our lineup for years to come. But, of course, to get a quality player like Adrian Gonzaelz, Theo Epstein had to give up quality in return. Some of that quality is starting to show. Big time.Anthony Rizzo, the 1B prospect in the deal, is hitting almost .400 at AAA—with 8 home runs in 25 games. Meantime, on the big club, Brad Hawpe is looking like he completely forgot how to hit. Look for Rizzo to be patrolling first base at PETCO very soon. Not that there's anything wrong with that!
